ESCDD: European Symposium on Controlled Drug Delivery

Throughout the previous twelve editions, the symposium has established itself as a high-quality symposium on all aspects of Advanced Drug Delivery. The program comprises about 22 presentations given by invited experts from academia and industry on cutting edge topics in this field. Sufficient time is reserved for discussions and meeting of colleagues during the lecture program and our highly successful poster session.

Scientific topics of the symposium are:

Challenges and opportunities in controlled delivery of antisense oligonucleotide, small interfering RNA, and DNA therapeutics.

Translation of nanomedicines from academia to industry.

Ø TARGETED DRUG DELIVERY
Exploiting extra- and intracellular transport mechanisms for targeted delivery.

Ø IMAGE-GUIDED DRUG DELIVERY
Imaging techniques & stimuli-responsive carriers and their role in controlled drug release.

Ø BIOACTIVE DELIVERY FOR TISSUE ENGINEERING
Organ repair strategies are combined with the delivery of pharmaceuticals directly on the site where needed.
