The Venue
We have selected the Mermaid Theatre in London as the venue for Colloids 2014 (http://www.the-mermaid.co.uk). The Mermaid is situated near Blackfriars between the City and the West End. Located on the on the North Bank of the River Thames, the Mermaid enjoys spectacular views towards the Tate Modern, Globe Theatre and the Millennium Bridge. The Mermaid opened in the early 1950s and staged over 150 productions over its 60 year life as a theatre. The theatre closed in 2011 and was converted into conference venue. This historic venue, overlooking some of the most iconic sites in London will provide a perfect venue for delegates to meet and discuss their work. Bars and restaurants are readily available within the vicinity of the conference venue
Excellent transport links to the rest of London ensure that all of the capitals attractions are easily available to delegates.
